In 1978, Women & Their Work was founded by a group of women to create opportunities that were lacking for women artists in all disciplines. Since then, W&TW has been a cornerstone of our arts community, playing an important role in the development of the visual arts in Texas. We host hundreds of events a year in visual and performing art along with education programs for under-resourced school kids. Our mission is to support women artists by fostering their artistic growth, encouraging them to make new adventurous work; to ensure that women are equitably represented in all forms of art.
