In collaboration with curator Shania Montufar, the Carver Museum welcomes Echoes: In Living Memory. This multimedia exhibition centers Black and Hispanic neighborhood histories, migration, style, faith, displacement, celebration, and collective imagination. Our Artist Gallery will host 4–5 Featured Artists, 15 Community Art Wall contributors, and 3 Historian/Archival Contributors, all based in or raised here in Austin Texas. Each work is a meditation on historic preservation and erasure. How can art create space for remembrance, refusal, and future-making in a rapidly changing city?
