Jess and Jamie Lea Wade are both multidisciplinary artists and curators that have been living and working in Central Texas for over fifteen years, rooted in the clay community. They share studios at the Eye of the Dog Art Center in San Marcos and the Canopy Art Complex in Austin. Jamie’s Wade’s work ranges from functional ceramics, to other worldly sculptures, and beautifully articulated figures; speaking to her belief we are all strange and interesting creatures. Meanwhile Jess’s work appears as sculptural figurative remnants from some shared yet forgotten past.
