My name is Thom Cowan and I am an artist based in East Austin that primarily works with Ceramics and Painting. My work focuses on ideas coming to life in clay and painting as my stream of conciousness leads me down a sort of river of thought when pick up the clay or paint brush. I consider my artworks carrying a loose narrative that conveys a sort of hodge podge of subjects that build and convey their own story. Each subject starts to build a dialogue and conversation between one another ultimately forming its own sort of screenplay for the viewer.
