I am a textile artist creating contemporary sculptures using mindfully sourced fabrics and quirky trim honouring my 20 year long involvement in the fashion industry. Upcycling is central to my process, incorporating designer off cuts, deconstructed garments, leather trims, found objects and costume like embellishments. I value retaining elements of the original materials allowing them to be seen both as they were and as what they have become. For me, art is a form of free play, reconnecting me with the uninhibited creativity of childhood. I hope my viewers find joy in my pieces.
