A long time Austin resident. A native of San Antonio and the mission San Jose area. I’m an Indigenous jeweler that uses the traditional materials of my community, primarily mescal beans, which are the seeds of the Texas Mountain laurel. I use those, traditional materials like bison bone and horn, and mix that with the materials the Spaniards brought us: metals and glass in an expression that fuses the two cultures. I have been working my craft for over 10 years.
