Painting
I was lucky to study at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia, and then received a Masters in Fine Arts from UT Austin. For many summers I painted at my Mother’s home in Cornwall (England), and after returning to Austin, I’ve been a working and exhibiting artist in Austin for forty years, in my Clarksville studio, as well as Instructor in Painting at the Contemporary, Austin. My work is fairly traditional in style but I paint a very large variety of subjects, mainly portraits of people and animals, and fantasy paintings based on children’s book subjects.
