My work celebrates the forms in which our species rather uniquely designs and advances itself with- lines and right angles. It’s a complicated and ironic progression of minimal linear abstraction decades on. While I use interesting backgrounds and don’t cover them completely, I essentially am a squeegee painter who isolates paint layers with clear, slick materials like Art Resin so that I can slice cleanly through drying paint to selectively reveal the layers below to compound the image without losing clarity because paint doesn’t drag on paint.
