I have been a potter and sculptor for more than 30 years. In 2015 I moved to South Austin and set up my back yard studio where I make my own clays and glazes. I make my pots using throwing, casting, and hand building techniques. I like to create narrative drawings of animals on my pots that come from the wildlife in my little corner of Texas. I think of these drawings as portraits that describe relationships. Recently, I started having my drawings made into custom ceramic decals, and I am enjoying layering the crisp decal images together with hand brushed drawings.
