I am an Austin-based painter working in oil and gouache, both in the studio and en plein air. My work includes still lifes, landscapes, and interiors, with recent studies made in Texas, Yorkshire, and London. I work alla prima and draw on traditional painting techniques to explore light, atmosphere, and the character of ordinary things. My earlier career as an award-winning art director included work now represented in the Smithsonian Institution.
