Drawing
A background in architecture and becoming proficient in pencil drafting, allowed me to work my way into set designing, a dream since my first look at a movie set, as a kid in the fifties, during a western being filmed on the Navajo Reservation near our trading post on Route 66.
My break came in 1984, and I moved to Austin to work on Nadine, and gained valuable experience working with production designer Paul Sylbert. Thirty years later drafting by pencil is becoming a lost art. I’m putting together a series of prints of set design drawings, photos and commentary on many of my productions.
