I am an Austin based oil painter and author. I came back to painting in 2019 after a decade of writing about loss (my own and the thousands of grieving people I’ve worked with) I hold an MFA in Painting and Drawing from the Academy of Art University where I received the most Unique Body of Work award in 2025. My ongoing series, The Gatherings, begins in observable landscape and abstracts as beings and shapes emerge. Last year’s Austin Studio Tour was transformative for me. I sold 3 paintings but more than that I watched people stand with the work and feel seen.
