I am an oil painter based in Austin, Texas who combines my love of typography with my background in marketing to explore compositions that are traditionally printed, exploring the irony of using the laborious medium of oil paint to render traditionally digitally created, pixel perfect designs. My work is shaped by a deep fascination with consumerism, reflecting on both the collective pressures of late-stage capitalism and the subtle dynamics of personal relationships, all viewed through the lens of my Chinese American upbringing.
