Via Boley

Painting
Working in cut and sanded metal, ink glazes, and thin layers of acrylic on reflective surfaces, Boley builds her paintings toward a single point, where something has to give and something new takes it’s place. Cubist objects take the place of figures to depict a deeper reflection – one that the everyday mirror cannot show. Boley (b. 1999) originally from Boston holds a BFA in Painting from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Her recognition includes the Frick Arts Foundation Award (2025), the Gamblin Paint Award, the Roger Tibbetts Art Award, and the Artist and Craftsman Award.
